MEETINGS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The Blood Drive is going forward as scheduled - along with a little "Social Distancing" Veterans refreshments in the parking lot for members and volunteers following the event on Thursday.

In the near term, Rotary International recommends that Rotary clubs meet virtually, cancel, or postpone meetings and events following the advice of national and local health officials. Rotary is closely monitoring the pandemic of COVID-19 and continuously assessing the potential impact on Rotary operations, events, and members. Your health and safety are always our top priorities.

The club leaders will continue to communicate with you about the next meetings as decisions are reached. In the meantime, keep our service project on April 18 on your calendar!

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

The Blood Drive hosted by the Rotary Club of Minnesota Veterans is going to be held as planned.  There is now an extreme shortage of blood and Veterans will always step forward to make a sacrifice.  Thank you to all who have stepped forward to donate blood.  Please remember to hydrate now and eat a healthy meal before coming to donate.

The Red Cross has added additional staff and appointments, but those have already been filled.  We do expect that there will be some cancellations so check regularly if there are any appointments that have opened.  There may also be no-shows. The Blood Drive does allow for some walk-ins, however, there could be long wait times. Text Jeff Staads, event coordinator, on Thursday afternoon to see how quickly we are moving donors through: 715-559-1030

Join us for our first hosted service event in honor of Veterans.

On Thursday March 26, stop by St. Peter's - Edina from 1pm-7pm to donate an hour of your time and blood.

SIP & SERVE HOSTS
On March 10, the Rotary Club of Minnesota Veterans hosted an event to meet Rotary International Director, Stephanie Urchick and create feminine hygiene kits for girls in countries where girls are known to start skipping school after they start their menstrual cycle.  Thanks to those who participated - and for Tom Gump for lining up the event.
